The Whistler XTR 335 offers total band protection from radar signals, VG-2 cloaking & POP mode, 360 degree lasar detection, safety warning system alerts, and a numeric icon display. On top of this, Whistler’s Real Voice feature announces feature selection, band identification and SWS messages out loud.
When it is selected, the Real-Voice gives additional information to detected signals above and over the basic band ID tones. It says “X-band” when an X band is detected. Real Voice is used for articulating feature selections and Safety Warning System messages
The numeric icon display on the Whistler XTR 335 is bright and easy to read. The icons indicate the power, radar band identification, city mode, and the signal strength. A 7-segment digital display shows the band identification and the signal strength identification.
The XTR 335 has Whistler’s patented VG-2 cloak technology, so it stays invisible to VG-2 detection, aka ‘radar detector detectors’ used by the police.

One of the first things you may notice if you purchase this device is its quality feel and stylish finish. Getting the unit mounted is pretty easy; you can bend the metal so that it sits level on the wind-shield. The mount fits in a slot on the front and it releases with the small button on the side.
When left on highway setting, it can tend to pick up some additional X band signals from security systems, but switching to city 2 calms it down. It gives the odd false positive, but if you read the directions, you’ll be able to promptly distinguish the difference between genuine warnings and false warnings.
